Hook type forks are forks generally found on lift trucks up to 14,000 lbs. capacity. Hook type forks are so named as they hook over and lock into the bars of the fork carriage. The forks can be installed by sliding the upper and lower hooks onto the end of the carriage bars or through a special fork loading notch in the center of the lower carriage mounting bar.[1]
