An electric lift truck is a lift truck that is powered using a battery. Lift trucks use industrial traction batteries typically ranging from 12 to 48 volts. Class I, II, III and VI lift trucks are electric.

Types of Batteries
Flooded batteries
Flooded batteries require water to be added regularly in order to maintain a functioning electrolyte level.
Sealed batteries
Sealed batteries, also known as valve-regulated lead acid batteries (VRLAs), use a chemical reaction within the battery to maintain proper fluid levels.[1]
