Accumulation conveyor

An accumulation conveyor is the term for any conveyor designed to permit accumulation of packages, objects or carriers. These may be roller, live roller, roller slat, belt, vibrating, power-and-free or tow conveyors.[1]
There are two types of accumulation: zero pressure and minimum pressure. Zero pressure means that no line pressure is created with product that accumulates on the conveyor. Minimum pressure indicates pressure created on the conveyor by the load itself. Minimum pressure conveyors typically maintain a maximum of 3% line pressure.[2]
